PowerConnect™ 8000 Series switches support Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) connectivity with the FCoE Initialization Protocol (FIP) snooping feature. This allows converged Ethernet and FCoE data streams to pass seamlessly to the top of rack.

To simplify connectivity with Dell™ EqualLogic™ arrays, the iSCSI auto-configuration feature, available in all 8000 Series switches, automatically detects the arrays and configures the switch for optimal data transfers.
